We are sure that this achievement by the team will also serve as encouragement for Caribbean youth who aspire to cricket beyond national borders.On that note, we also extend the heartiest of commendations to our local players Michael Frew, Shahid Crooks and Odean Smith for their outstanding performance, while representing Jamaica. first_imgMauricio Pochettino found it emotional facing Southampton but the Tottenham boss was delighted to come away with a victory in his first meeting against his former club.Christian Eriksen’s first-half strike ensured the Argentine got the better of his Saints successor Ronald Koeman.Pochettino had enjoyed an impressive 18-month reign at St Mary’s before quitting to take the Spurs job in the summer, and he said: “It was an emotional game because I still love Southampton.“It was a great period for me in my life and I will always be grateful to Southampton, but the most important thing was the three points.  “It was a special moment for me, but three points in the end was important.”The win ended Spurs’ four-match wait for a league win and Pochettino added: “I think we deserved the three points.“I’m happy for the players because they deserved the win and I’m happy for the performance.
