Widespread Panic Covers Joe Cocker, Traffic With Dirty Dozen In Vegas Finale

first_imgBeloved jam band Widespread Panic hit Sin City for a much-hyped three-night run, playing The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. The band had announced that the Dirty Dozen Brass Band would be joining them for the run, and much to the fans’ delight, members from the NOLA contingency joined in for all three nights of music. The brass band came out in full force for the end of set one, joining in for a three song run that included “Weight of the World,” “Tail Dragger,” and “High Time We Went.” Later on in the show, trumpeter Gregory Davis and Efrem Towns returned for two songs in the second set, including Traffic’s “Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys” and “Big Wooly Mammoth.” Having the horns on stage really added quite the extra dimension to the music!Check out the full setlist below, courtesy of PanicStream!Setlist: Widespread Panic at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas, NV – 7/11/16Set 1: One Arm Steve, Machine > Barstools & Dreamers, The Last Straw > Mountain Jam > Let’s Get The Show On The Road, Steven’s Cat, Weight of the World*, Tail Dragger*, High Time We Went*Set 2: Pigeons, Solid Rock, Sell Sell, Porch Song > Low Spark of High Heeled Boys**, Big Wooly Mammoth** > Drums^ > Cease Fire > Blue Indian, Protein Drink / Sewing MachineEncore: Expiration Day, Climb To SafetyNotes:* w/ Dirty Dozen Brass Band** w/ Gregory Davis, Trumpet; Efrem Towns, Trumpet^ Duane onlyCheck out photos from the run, courtesy of Erik Kabik.
