Man United reportedly make Mina bid, but want an answer today

first_imgManchester United have made a £35 million bid for Yerry Mina and want a yes from the Barcelona and Colombia defender today.United’s official offer comes in an attempt to fight off the advances of Everton and French side Lyon, who are both understood to be very interested in the 23-year-old.The fee is a significant increase on the £10.5m Barca paid Palmeiras for Mina in January, and the Premier League giants expect him to pick them despite a hold up when they pulled out of a deal over a dispute with his agent at the weekend.Mina returned from his post-World Cup holiday and thought he was signing for United on Sunday. However, he found out that there was a snag and sought talks with his bosses in Barcelona.United have been linked with a new centre-half all summer, with Toby Alderweireld, Jerome Boateng and Harry Maguire all reported targets, but have so far been unsuccessful and have now apparently turned up the heat and made one last, and probably decisive, play for Mina.According to SunSport, the young centre half, who scored three goals at the World Cup, will be offered a five year contract worth around £6 million and has a chance to go into Jose Mourinho’s side.
