At West Bloomfield (Michigan) High School, Jackson received scholarship offers from MSU, Cincinnati, Iowa and Pittsburgh, among others. Jackson was also a high school teammate of current Syracuse safety Evan Foster.Jackson joins a rather unproven receiver group for Syracuse after the departures of seniors Ervin Philips and Steve Ishmael to graduation.
